A CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) is a trained volunteer who stands up for children in foster care due to abuse or neglect. Judges rely on CASA volunteers to provide crucial insight, ensure each child’s needs are met, and recommend the safest, most permanent outcome. For many children, their CASA is the one consistent adult they can count on.
Across ten West Texas counties, nearly 270 children needed an advocate last year—and more volunteers are urgently needed. Without a CASA, a child can easily be overlooked in a strained system.
