X-WR-CALDESC:Prepare to be inspired! \n\nChris Norton suffered a spinal cor
d injury while playing college football and doctors gave him a 3% chance o
f moving anything below his neck again. Four years later\, he defied the o
dds and walked across the stage at his college graduation with his fiancé\
, Emily Summers. Three years after graduation\, Chris and Emily walked sev
en yards down the aisle\; seven symbolizing the seven-year anniversary of
his injury. Now\, the two are foster parents\, committed to providing a sa
fe\, loving home for children in need. \n\nChris's message is clear: Adver
sity is universal\, but we all have the Power to Stand and make a differen
ce for youth in foster care. \n\nBy sponsoring this event\, you help provi
de a powerful voice for a child in foster care---you give them a CASA volu
nteer. Without a CASA and without your support\, these children are forced
to navigate through an overburdened child welfare system that is hard pre
ssed to meet their needs. Without a CASA\, they can easily be re-abused or
neglected in foster care or be returned to an unsafe home. CASA volunteer
s fight for the child's right to grow up in a safe\, permanent home. CASA
of West Texas served 487 foster children in seven West Texas counties last
year\, 99% of the children in foster care in our service area. Help us se
rve 100%. Every child in care deserves a powerful voice. Be that voice for
foster children by sponsoring this event!\n\nFor more information about s
